We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Private Client Fee Earner to join a well-established, supportive, and forward-thinking firm. You’ll handle a broad range of private client matters, guiding individuals and families through important life decisions with clarity, care, and confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Client Care & Advisory
    • Provide clear, practical advice on matters such as estate planning, wills, probate and trusts.
    • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor in all aspects of their personal affairs.
    • Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
  • Legal Expertise & Case Management
    • Prepare and review legal documents including wills, lasting powers of attorney and trust deeds.
    • Oversee the administration of estates, ensuring matters progress smoothly and efficiently.
    • Keep up to date with legislation, tax developments and regulatory changes affecting private client law.
  • Business Development & Collaboration
    • Contribute to the growth of the private client practice by developing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
    • Network with other professionals such as financial advisers and accountants to deliver a holistic service to clients.
    • Take part in marketing initiatives such as hosting events, writing articles, or attending professional networking forums.
  • Compliance & Best Practice
    • Ensure all work complies with current regulations and firm-wide risk management processes.
    • Maintain meticulous records and uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
    • Manage billing, budgets, and profitability across your caseload.
    • Deliver work efficiently and proactively to meet both client and firm objectives.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 4 years’ PQE in private client law.
  • Confident managing a varied caseload including wills, trusts, probate and tax planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with a client-first mindset.
  • Excellent communicator who is able to explain complex matters with clarity and empathy.
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in growing client relationships and contributing to the success of the wider team.
  • Organised, self-motivated and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
