Our client is seeking a dynamic and proactive Marketing and Engagement Officer to support the Manager. This pivotal role will focus on developing and delivering a high-quality marketing programme aimed at customer acquisition and income generation, identifying potential funding sources and leading the application process, enhancing community engagement by delivering exceptional outreach services to stakeholders and the wider public and coordinating and developing volunteer and corporate workgroup activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, incorporating advertising, promotional campaigns, events, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Research and apply for funding opportunities, grants, and bids, particularly those supporting the restoration of historic monuments.
- Oversee the digital presence, including website and social media platforms, and provide regular performance reports.
- Develop and execute a community engagement strategy to strengthen relationships with customers, stakeholders, and local communities.
- Lead the management of volunteer groups, including recruitment, training, and coordination.
- Plan and manage events such as open days, film shoots, and guided tours.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Degree or HND in Marketing is desirable.
- Proven experience in a relevant marketing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong background in customer engagement and public relations.
- Experience in securing funding and preparing successful grant applications (desirable).
- Event management experience.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and lead projects.
- Organised, adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion for heritage, community engagement and charitable initiatives.
