An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a busy and well-regarded Residential Property team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners across a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, providing both administrative and legal support within a fast-paced and supportive environment. As Paralegal, your day-to-day work will be carried out under the supervision of the fee earner to whom support is provided, assisting with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake full file creation procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm processes.
- Organise, maintain and track files throughout the course of matters to ensure progress in a timely manner.
- Liaise with clients and third parties where necessary regarding ongoing matters.
- Draft correspondence, legal forms and documentation for review by the supervising fee earner.
- Undertake appropriate legal research and assist in preparing matters for presentation to clients.
- Meet with clients, take instructions and prepare documentation following client instructions where appropriate.
- Provide support across residential conveyancing transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Handle completion and post‑completion matters.
- Manage Land Registry applications and respond to requisitions where required.
- Provide general administrative support to the department.
- Greet clients face to face and manage telephone enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a consistently high level of attention to detail.
Experience and Skills Requirement
- Previous experience supporting a Residential Conveyancing or Property department.
- A good understanding of the residential property legal process.
- Excellent office administration and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to multitask effectively and manage time‑sensitive work under pressure.

- Job Type: Permanent
- Expected Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Expected Notice Period: 1 month (once probation is complete)
