Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the wider finance function. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile client and office accounts
  • Process client payments including cheques, bank transfers, and card payments
  • Monitor daily bank activity and accurately allocate funds
  • Prepare and process account reconciliations
  • Handle banking duties such as deposits and withdrawals
  • Process supplier invoices and support regular payment runs
  • Manage petty cash and staff expense claims
  • Produce financial reports including balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation
  • Provide assistance to colleagues on finance-related queries
  • Offer general financial guidance as needed

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within the legal industry
  • Proficiency in legal accounting software (e.g. LEAP, Xero, or similar), and Microsoft Office applications
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset
