An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a fast-growing international events business delivering large-scale B2B exhibitions and conferences across global markets. This role sits within a highly commercial events team focused on sectors shaping the future of global industry. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, selling exhibition space, sponsorship packages and strategic partnership opportunities to leading organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Market Growth: Support the Head of Events in executing the wider sales strategy; Identify new revenue streams, market opportunities and growth areas; Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform sales planning.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed individual sales targets; Sell exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities; Drive new exhibitor acquisition while retaining existing clients; Identify and maximise upselling opportunities across the portfolio; Develop tailored commercial proposals for key clients.
- Pipeline & Performance Management: Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM records; Track sales performance against targets and KPIs; Identify potential risks to revenue delivery and implement corrective actions; Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and reporting standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors and strategic partners; Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities to grow their presence at events.
- Market Development: Prospect new business opportunities across target markets; Identify and engage key decision-makers within target organisations; Attend industry and competitor events to generate leads and market intelligence; Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms and secure signed contracts.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Direct experience in B2B event sales, 2–4 years (preferably exhibitions and sponsorship), strong track record of hitting or exceeding targets in a similar environment, able to manage longer, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable building new business as well as developing existing accounts.
- Ideally has worked internationally or on events with a global client base.
- Proactive, commercially minded and a self-starter who is happy to take ownership and drive results.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills, resilience and a positive attitude under pressure, confident negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management tools, excellent presentation and proposal writing abilities.
- Professional, credible and confident when dealing with senior stakeholders.
