Painter and Decorator

Overview

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and more. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our Estates Department at the QEQM Hospital in Margate. This role involves delivering high quality internal and external painting and decorating across the site, while adhering to strict health and safety standards. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Carry out re-decoration programmes across the site, including preparation and application of finishes.
• Devise and implement annual re-decoration plans in consultation with department leads.
• Work independently while making decisions based on experience, training, and established procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and stock safely and efficiently.
• Undertake minor repair and maintenance works as needed.
• Work within health and safety regulations, including COSHH, Working at Heights, and method statements.
• Use CAFM systems to log, update, and report work progress.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in painting and decorating; experience in commercial or healthcare settings is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH and asbestos awareness.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in painting, decorating, or building trades (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) desirable.
• GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science desirable.
