2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

Join our team at Kent and Canterbury Hospital as a Catering Assistant and play a vital role in keeping staff, patients, and visitors fuelled and cared for every day. We are seeking a Catering Assistant on a permanent full time basis working 5 days out of 7 on a rolling rota.

You will be at the heart of our hospital catering team, working in our busy canteen and kitchens to deliver excellent customer service, maintain the highest hygiene standards, and help create a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

What you will be doing:

  • Serving food and drinks with a smile, ensuring every customer feels welcome
  • Keeping food preparation and serving areas clean, tidy, and safe
  • Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation and equipment care
  • Handling cash and card payments confidently and accurately
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures to the highest standards

What we are looking for:

  • A positive attitude and a commitment to great customer service
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or customer service is helpful, but not essential – full training will be provided
  • A team player who takes pride in their work and enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication is key – you will be confident engaging with customers, colleagues, and hospital staff
  • A proficient level of reading, verbal, and written English is required for this role to ensure effective communication and job performance.
