2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.
Supply Chain Assistants are at the heart of the hospital delivery system. Working within the procurement team, they perform a vital role ensuring that the hospital teams have full stocks of crucial materials and equipment. Working within a fast‑paced team, you will manage ordering, delivery and storing of vital medical and non-medical equipment. You will need to be comfortable with manual handling for this role and have good IT skills.

This is a permanent part‑time position, working 22.5 hours per week (between 8am‑4pm, Monday‑Friday) based at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.
The role:
- Supply Chain Assistants are responsible for providing a managed ordering and delivery/put‑away service to their customers.
- Manage a range of wards and departments and Theatres, supplying consumable and reusable products.
- Work to a strict schedule for the re‑order of products, using multiple ordering systems.
- Distribute and restock deliveries via roll cages and trolleys, in line with manual handling policies.
- Work closely with 2gether staff and customer staff to ensure that the products provided meet their technical requirements and are provided to agreed authorisation levels.
- Serve as the initial contact to deal with queries, requests and complaints from customers.
- Provide support and assistance on matters related to the wider Procurement Service where needed.
