We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a minimum of 3 years’ industry experience to support the commercial delivery of hospitality and office fit-out projects. The role requires a proactive commercial mindset, strong cost planning skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced design-led environment. You will be involved from early-stage budgeting and feasibility through to final account, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets from concept and developed design information
  • Assist in feasibility studies and cost advice during early design stages
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and design proposals for cost implications
  • Prepare and submit competitive tenders for Design & Build projects
  • Source, analyse, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options without compromising design intent
Commercial & Cost Management
  • Manage project budgets and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare interim valuations, applications for payment, and cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and change control
  • Value, agree, and finalise variations with clients and subcontractors
  • Prepare and agree final accounts
Contract & Subcontractor Management
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of Design & Build contracts
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial procedures
  • Support commercial negotiations and dispute avoidance
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and site teams to align cost control with design and delivery
  • Attend project and client meetings where required
  • Provide clear and accurate commercial reporting to senior management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and commercial processes
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator role
  • Experience working with a contractor essential
  • Experience within interiors, fit-out, hospitality, workplace, or Design & Build projects preferred
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred
  • Strong understanding of Design & Build procurement and commercial processes
  • Knowledge of standard forms of contract
