Finance Assistant (Hybrid)

Working Hours - 8am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 8am-3.30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Finance Assistant to join our client s small and friendly finance team in Burton.

Our client is widely recognised as a leading provider in their industry and take great pride in the strong reputation they have built.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase invoices, credit notes, expenses, and supplier reconciliations
  • Manage weekly supplier and expense payment runs, including preparation for authorisation
  • Complete bank reconciliations, daily cash postings, and customer/site payment reconciliations
  • Manage customer credit checks, applications, account set-up, credit requests, statements, and credit control
  • Maintain accurate customer, invoicing, pricing, and account records across Syspro and Salesforce
  • Manage costing of IE/NL monthly stock transfers
  • Support month-end reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow forecasting
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and maintain records
  • Support the financial controller with external audits
  • Provide holiday and absence cover for Financial Controller, Customer Success, and Business Support teams

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong experience in a similar finance role, ideally with a background across purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and supported with month-end processes
  • A formal accounting qualification is desirable, although QBE candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, ability to do V LOOKUPs & Pivot Tables
  • Experience using Syspro, Domo, or Zoho would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience using Salesforce preferred but not essential
  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Professional, flexible and positive team player
