Job description: Purchasing Assistant Rotherham £27,000 per annum Full Time | Permanent We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within purchasing and supply chain operations. Working closely with the procurement and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day purchasing function, ensuring materials, products and supplies are ordered efficiently and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities * Raising and processing purchase orders * Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries * Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management * Chasing outstanding orders and updating internal systems * Supporting invoice queries and supplier documentation * Maintaining accurate purchasing records and databases * Assisting with general administration within the procurement department * Working closely with warehouse, finance and operations teams The Ideal Candidate * Previous administration or purchasing experience preferred * Strong organisational and communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines * Proactive and willing to learn * Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or procurement environments would be advantageous What’s on Offer * Salary of £27,000 * Permanent full-time position * Supportive working environment * Opportunity to develop within procurement and supply chain * Company benefits package If you are looking for a new opportunity within a busy and supportive business, we would love to hear from you
