Salary: Up to £45,000 (Dependant on experience)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Office-Based

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Derby. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong construction industry knowledge who will support the day-to-day management of the finance function, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase and sales ledger functions
  • Managing subcontractor payments and verifying CIS compliance
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns & CIS returns
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and construction industry regulations
  • Support with cashflow forecasting and management accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
  • Training and mentoring finance staff
  • Provide wider support to the finance team and contribute to ad hoc finance tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working as an accounts manager or in a similar senior finance role
  • Previous experience managing a finance team
  • Previous experience working within the construction industry (highly desirable)
  • Strong working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes and HMRC compliance
  • Good Excel skills
  • A hardworking individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
