Overview
Multi Engine Turbine (MET) B200 Captain role at 2Excel Group, Newquay. Our Special Missions division delivers specialist aviation services to the UK Government and industry customers, including a next-generation Search and Rescue contract operating 24/7/365.
Role: Multi-Engine Turbine (MET) B200 Pilot — FT Permanent — Newquay. You will work with a Sensor Operator who manages the sensors and mission equipment, delivering specialist surveillance tasks within the UK and internationally. The role is a single-pilot captain with all line training provided, on a 4 on / 4 off roster with occasional short-notice sickness coverage within the Flight Time Limit (FTL) system. The day shift pattern is 0700–1900. Each crew includes a Sensor Operator on board.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Special Missions surveillance B200 aircraft as a single-pilot captain.
- Collaborate with a Sensor Operator to manage sensors and mission equipment during surveillance tasks.
Qualifications
- Current UK Class 1 medical
- Valid UK CPL (or ATPL) with ME/IR
- 1500+ total flying hours (including 750 PIC, 100 IFR and 100 Night)
- At least 100 hours on King Air Series aircraft (or equivalent, at the discretion of the Director of Flight Operations)
Desirable Experience
- MCC and AUPRT
- A current King Air 200 type rating is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
- Relevant experience in a similar setting (military, police, coastguard)
- UK Security Clearance and a valid UK Driving Licence (already held or obtainable)
Training and Location
Please note this job is immediately available, with training commencing ASAP. The successful applicant may conduct some training at Humberside. Accommodation and suitable allowances are provided.
Compensation and Benefits
The shift pattern will be agreed at least 15 days in advance, with a competitive base salary and flexible shift allowance. Generous holiday allowance, private health care, salary sacrifice electric car scheme and a company pension are provided.

Training Bond
- Successful applicants who do not currently hold a King Air 200 type rating must attend training. Training costs will be subject to a bond for 2 years, repayable if you leave employment. The bond value decreases by 25% every 6 months during the 2-year period.
