Aircraft Maintenance (Part 145) General Manager role at 2Excel Group. Join 2Excel as a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation General Manager. Location: Lasham Airfield, Hampshire. Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday with some home working allowable but the majority of time will need to be spent on site. Salary: Competitive DOE. Start Date: ASAP.

With specialist teams and unrivalled aerospace approvals, we design, build, test and operate aircraft to deliver mission-critical services and data-driven insights. At Lasham, we carry out heavy base maintenance on our own aircraft as well as for third parties. Under our approvals we also have line stations to keep our contracted aircraft flying day to day. Responsibilities

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Part 145 regulations and MOE procedures.
  • Oversee base, line, and workshop maintenance functions.
  • Liaise with the Accountable Manager and regulatory bodies (e.g. UK CAA/EASA).
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Ensure corrective actions from compliance monitoring are implemented effectively.
  • Represent the organisation in audits, inspections, and industry forums.
  • Maintain robust workforce planning and resource allocation strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Broad aircraft maintenance industry experience with roles such as Licensed Engineer, Crew Chief and/or Check Manager.
  • Strong leadership experience and a track record of managing teams at a senior level within a maintenance organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work with initiative.
  • Experience at a CAA and EASA Nominated Postholder level, or proven deputising at that level; minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Part 66 License (B1 or B2) and a relevant engineering degree or a maintenance technician qualification acceptable to the CAA.
  • Detailed knowledge of our exposition and operational manuals and a deep understanding of maintenance methods and procedures.
  • Right to Work in the UK, a valid UK Driving Licence due to travel requirements, and ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
