Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Account Manager with aviation experience / knowledge to join our growing team at 2Excel Group.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing key client accounts, developing long-term relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of our services.

You will play a crucial role in driving client satisfaction and business growth.

The role’s key responsibility will include but not be limited to

  • Primary commercial point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Manage customer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and commercial terms.
  • Maximise contract value in line with commercial terms.
  • Attend and represent the business at customer meetings, wash-ups and performance reviews.
  • Prepare and issue contract briefs to operational teams.
  • Review, negotiate and obtain approval for additional Customer Work Requests (CWRs)
  • Liaise with Production, Planning, Materials
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure work orders, billing and invoicing activities are completed accurately and within agreed KPIs.
  • Produce post-input performance summaries and customer reports.
  • Support proposal preparation, quotation activities and contract renewals
  • Lead, mentor and support Account Managers, providing guidance and support.
  • Deputise for the Commercial Director when required, ensuring continuity of departmental leadership and decision-making.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction, retention and repeat business.

The successful candidate will require extensive aviation commercial experience with proven capability in contract management, customer account leadership, commercial negotiations, team leadership and stakeholder engagement, together with a sound understanding of Part-145 maintenance operations, with:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an aviation commercial, account management, or customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance operations, maintenance programmes, and commercial processes.
  • Sound aviation and technical knowledge,
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and support Account Managers & other team members
  • Excellent commercial acumen and contract management capability.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing customer expectations and maximising contract value.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach.
  • Strong team player who fosters collaboration and supports colleagues across departments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise & manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and personal accountability.
