About the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on candidate who is a great team player and wants to be part of something extraordinary. The successful candidates will work alongside our busy facilities team which is responsible for the safe and effective maintenance of our busy site. The day‑to‑day duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Building and Workplace Support: Maintain the general condition of buildings and surrounding areas; assist with room preparations, furniture moves, signage, and workplace setup needs.
  • Maintenance and Defect Reporting: Undertake repairs where appropriate, identify defects, and ensure issues are reported and followed up through the relevant process.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Support routine checks, safe systems of work, hazard reporting, and compliance activity to help maintain a safe working environment.
  • Security: Assist in maintaining site security through access control, locking and unlocking, monitoring of premises, and prompt reporting of incidents or concerns.
  • Contractor and Visitor Support: Provide practical assistance to contractors and visitors, including access arrangements, escorting where required, and ensuring works or visits are conducted appropriately.
  • Cleaning and Housekeeping Coordination: Monitor standards of cleanliness and housekeeping and escalate issues where standards are not being met.
  • Stock and Equipment: Monitor and replenish consumables, maintain tools and equipment responsibly, and report shortages or faults.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records, complete checklists, update logs, and support reporting requirements associated with facilities services.
  • Emergency Support: Assist during incidents, evacuations, or service disruptions in accordance with organisational procedures and instructions.

We are looking for a candidate with the following essential skill set and experience:

  • Experience of working in a facility, maintenance or building support environment.
  • Basic practical maintenance skills and the ability to conduct routine tasks safely.
  • Good awareness of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently, manage routine tasks, and respond flexibly to changing priorities.
  • Basic record‑keeping and administrative skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high service standards.
  • Valid full UK driving license.
  • Experience of supporting contractors, service providers, or external visitors on site.
  • Knowledge of basic compliance checks or facilities management systems.
  • Relevant training or qualifications in facilities, health and safety, manual handling, first aid, or related areas.
  • Experience of supporting office moves, event setups, or multi‑site operations.
