We are seeking a full-time B1.2 Line Certifying Engineer to join our dedicated Capability Development Team in Humberside.

The Role

As a B1.2 Line Certifying Engineer, you will take ownership of the completion and certification of assigned maintenance work packages. Reporting to the Shift Manager /Line Maintenance Manager, you will ensure all work is performed to the highest regulatory and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line Maintenance Certifying Engineer supporting our PA31 aircraft.
  • Lead and supervise licensed engineers not type rated on type and technicians.
  • Carry out and certify mechanical/electrical component removals and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with MOE processes, procedures, ADs, SBs, and all required documentation.
  • Identify and report inaccuracies or gaps within maintenance data.
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback to the Head of Maintenance.
  • Support the development of junior engineers through day‑to‑day oversight and appraisal input.
  • Contribute actively to the Safety Management System and wider aviation safety culture.
  • Support delivery of the 2Excel Group strategic plan.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a skilled, confident, and capable engineer with:

  • An unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1.2 Licence, holding PA31 type ratings or Group 3. Ideally King Air 200/300 experience with demonstrable recency. Or willingness to attain B1.1 License category and type rating.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead calmly and professionally.
  • A meticulous, safety‑driven approach with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • A team‑player mindset with the confidence to challenge, suggest improvements, and uphold engineering excellence.
