We are on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing Field Services department as a Technical Clerk who will work closely with the division head in facilitating the technical administration and coordination that supports the growth of the division. 2DegreesKelvin (2DK) is an award-winning solar engineering company, specialising in project life-cycle services and solutions for the utility-scale solar industry.
You’ll be part of an innovative team with opportunities for growth and development. This is the perfect role for someone eager to build a career in the renewable energy sector while playing an essential part in our expanding operations.
What will you be doing?
- Handling inbound enquiries and managing client relationships.
- Gathering and assembling data, developing technical proposals (standard and special), and assisting with the planning and execution of services.
- Raising job, assignment, and project invoice requests.
- Maintaining our Operations Tracker Bucket System (MS Teams) alongside the department head to ensure up-to-date data management.
- Producing technical reports and documentation to support operations.
- Representing the company in a professional manner, both internally and externally, ensuring a positive and reputable image is upheld at all times.
About you:
We are ideally looking for someone with a few years of experience in a technical or administrative capacity within the renewable energy or a similar industry. You will also have the following essential criteria:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline (engineering, renewable energy, etc.).
- Electrical bias is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for renewables and solar energy.
- Strong experience with MS Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report and document writing.
- An ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while ensuring the smooth flow of operations.
- A conscientious, hardworking, and highly organized approach to work with exceptional attention to detail.
Where? The position will be based at our new Field Services Depot in Wellington, Somerset (TA21 9AD). While working remotely is an option, candidates must be able to commute to the depot as needed.
