Your New Role: As a Digital Sales Manager (12 Month FTC), you will play a key role in Warner Bros. Discovery’s transformation to a digital-first business. Working within the UK sales team, you will help maximise revenue opportunities across WBD brands, content and platforms by developing commercial partnerships, delivering innovative multi-platform solutions, and strengthening agency and client relationships, across our digital (YouTube, HBO Max, Discovery+) and social (Instagram, Facebook and X) platforms.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Works closely with Snr Sales Manager on agency and client strategy to maximise revenue across all WBD IP and platforms from UK agencies and brands for the Brand Partnerships business.
- Owns relationships with an allocated portfolio of UK agencies, maintaining regular dialogue, identifying key contacts, obtaining briefs and insights, and ensuring strong awareness of WBD brands and products.
- Presents the Discovery portfolio to media agencies and is responsible for negotiating and closing cross-platform commercial deals.
- Collaborates with local Digital, UK International and wider international sales teams to ensure communication with agencies and brands is aligned and optimised.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders to create sales collateral, and maintain partnership opportunity materials through collaboration with programming, scheduling, marketing, research, account management and design teams.
- Maintains and progresses a healthy business pipeline while bringing new product ideas and initiatives to Sales Leadership and sharing relevant market and client insights internally.
- Builds strong cross-functional relationships across WBD, maintains awareness of competitor activity and market developments, and participates in internal meetings, training sessions and industry events where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in media or broadcast environments, including media agencies, client-side organisations or media owners.
- Ability to establish and maintain influential relationships with agencies, clients and stakeholders at all levels while demonstrating strong presentation and commercial negotiation skills.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of client business needs, consumer insights and the wider media industry.
- Creative, commercially minded and able to coordinate multiple complex projects and deliverables while working with data and commercial information.
- Self-motivated, outcome-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and collaborative approach.
Hybrid Working: This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
