Salary and Working Hours
Salary: £41k - £44k per year, depending upon experience and qualifications. Guaranteed 38 hours per week, with potential for overtime. Pay rate: £20.59 per hour. Shift pattern: rolling, inclusive of lates & weekends.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the fleet in line with Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools.
- Respond to vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road.
- Support a safe, efficient and inclusive working environment.
- Help to train and support apprentices and junior team members.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background with focus on vehicles, PSV, HGV, truck, haulage, plant, rail, automotive, or agricultural.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field desirable; strong practical experience also considered.
- Proactive approach to safety, teamwork and delivering high standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts and, occasionally, attend breakdowns away from the depot.
