Salary: £39,638 per annum (£20.03 per hour), 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm flexible).

Based at Oldham Depot, Oldham, Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across our fleet of buses and coaches.
  • Working on vehicle systems including lighting, wiring, batteries, charging systems, and control units.
  • Supporting maintenance and inspection activities to ensure vehicles meet DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards.
  • Using diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assisting with the introduction and maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Completing all work safely, accurately and in line with company procedures.
  • Collaborating with technicians and workshop teams to keep vehicles road‑ready.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in electrical or automotive engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Hands‑on experience with vehicle electrical systems (PSV, HGV, automotive, rail, or plant backgrounds welcomed).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Proactive, safety‑first approach and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
