Team: UK Inbound – Compliance.
Office: 1st Floor, 95 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7NA; 7th Floor, Saville House, 74‑90 Savile Street, Sheffield S4 7UD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive work from manager/senior associate/partner and manage the matter or delegate to juniors.
- Prepare sponsor licence applications under the Points Based System (PBS), conduct compliance reviews, and handle M&A activity impacting sponsors under PBS.
- Review illegal working cases and prepare representations to UKVI concerning suspension or down‑grading of sponsor licences.
- Attend client sites to undertake or lead mock Home Office audits.
- Prepare analysis of audit findings.
- Accompany team members to attend Home Office audits.
- Act as a key point of contact for compliance matters and participate in the Compliance Surgery rota with manager support as needed.
- Review drafted work from paralegals/coordinators.
- Perform legal research as required.
- Participate in client reviews, prepare reports and meetings, and assist with presentations and training.
- Provide legal and strategic advice under supervision and guidance.
- Mentor and train others and support operational issues.
- Manage billing/WIPPER for own cases and junior support.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
- Mandatory corporate immigration experience.
- Confident in advising senior client stakeholders and driving business development.
- Strong technical capability and high accuracy.
- Self‑starter with resilience and strong commercial acumen.
- Preferred: Experience in compliance.
Team: The team is part of the UK Inbound practice and serves clients in professional and financial services, oil & gas, and technology sectors. Focus areas include sponsor licensing, compliance improvement and training, UKVI action support, and corporate activity.
