Overview
Passenger Assistant role to transport SEN or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres. Support safe, flexible operation of the company and establish positive relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and staff at attended establishments. Assist the driver in company vehicles (cars, 8-seat carriers, and large wheelchair accessible vehicles).
Responsibilities
- Transport SEN or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
- Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support operation of the company.
- Establish positive, professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and key contacts at their destinations.
- Assist the driver in company-supplied vehicles, including cars, 8-seat people carriers, and large wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
- Be patient and empathetic with passengers and help keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.
Requirements
- Pass an enhanced criminal records check (DBS) for working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be willing to undertake first aid training and progress to medically trained specialist if applicable.
