We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our Childcare on Domestic Premises (CODP) mini nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, and delivering high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Ensure strict adherence to Ofsted standards, EYFS requirements, and safeguarding regulations.
- Supervise, support, and lead staff, ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.
- Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and curriculum plans.
- Monitor children's development and ensure learning activities align with EYFS guidelines.
- Foster positive and professional communication with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Oversee administrative responsibilities, including accurate record-keeping, staff rotas, and preparation for inspections.
- Manage all aspects of health and safety, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Early Years Educator, or equivalent).
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Nursery Manager or in a similar leadership role within an early years setting.
- Demonstrated success in achieving high standards — candidates whose previous settings were rated 'Outstanding' will be a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding protocols, and Ofsted compliance.
- Valid Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Level 3 certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a genuine passion for early years education.
