We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive IT Support Engineer to join our team in Huddersfield. This is a fully onsite role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring our IT systems, devices, and people stay connected, secure, and productive.
As the first point of contact for all things IT, you’ll provide day-to-day support, manage devices and licences, improve systems, and play a key part in the ongoing success of the business. Key Responsibilities
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-line IT support across the business, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Deliver confident, clear support to users with varying levels of technical experience.
Device & Software Management
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage installations and updates for operating systems and business applications.
- Support both Windows and macOS environments.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage user accounts, access, and tools across the Microsoft 365 platform.
- Ensure licences are correctly assigned, maintained, and optimised.
Cyber Security & Backup
- Monitor and manage antivirus, patching, firewall settings, and system backups.
- Help maintain a secure and compliant IT environment.
Documentation & Licensing
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support actions.
- Track all software subscriptions and renewals to ensure compliance and value for money.
Process Improvement & User Enablement
- Identify ways to improve how IT is delivered across the business.
- Support new starters and existing team members with IT onboarding and training.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally in a small to medium-sized business.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS.
- Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Highly organised and comfortable prioritising workload.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are an advantage but not essential.
