Reporting into the Product Lead, the Product Manager will act as a crucial link between the Product Lead and the third party development team to populate and implement the product road map, aligned to the project scope. The Product Manager will also have an active role in the vetting of the current dev team’s performance, to demonstrate suitability for onward management of the product. The role will also support in driving improvements in technology that will support enhancements to the product experience. We are looking for someone who’s not only passionate about the beauty industry, but also brings enthusiasm for the influencer platform and content creation space.
Primary Duties:
- Understand business goals and prepare high level business cases.
- Help create and maintain the Product backlog, ensuring there are always enough well defined and prioritised stories for development.
- Write user stories, working with the business to ensure the correct requirements and details are captured.
- Work with the development team to ensure wider dependencies and implications of changes are understood, building a clear understanding of our technical architecture.
- Work with business teams to ensure that technology effectively supports the requirements of end users.
- Ensure all backlog items are clearly described, giving the team and stakeholders a clear understanding of the MVP.
- Have a clear understanding of business goals and requirements, and how deliverables can be measured against the team’s KPIs and OKRs.
- Identify high level requirements and prioritise them under process or development changes.
Successful Candidate:
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, motivated and able to work within tight deadlines alongside a close knit team.
- Project/product development experience, a thorough understanding of the complete product lifecycle (product and UX testing).
- Ability to translate the challenges of end users into language that is useful to both business and technical colleagues.
- Proven performance in strategic and technical analysis.
- Experience working with cross functional teams.
- Experience in writing and reviewing high level business cases.
- Ability to write clear user stories and requirements.
- Confident working in agile and waterfall environments.
- Experience in writing clear and succinct user stories.
- A technical knowledge of web applications would be desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with tools/applications such as JIRA, Confluence, Teams, Power BI etc. will be an added advantage.
