We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced UK litigation and disputes lawyers with strong expertise in contentious matters, procedural law, legal analysis, and professional legal review. This role focuses on evaluating responses to real-world questions of UK law. Selected lawyers will compare outputs produced by two legal research systems, assess their accuracy and reasoning against a standardised rubric, and provide concise expert feedback.

- Evaluate legal responses involving UK litigation, disputes, and contentious matters
- Assess the accuracy and completeness of legal reasoning
- Identify incorrect legal principles, unsupported conclusions, and material omissions
- Review application of UK procedural and substantive law
- Apply practical judgement developed through litigation or disputes practice
- Comparative Legal Analysis
- Review responses generated independently by two different systems
- Compare outputs side by side for accuracy, relevance, completeness, and reasoning quality
- Identify meaningful differences in legal analysis and conclusions
- Determine which response more effectively addresses the underlying legal question
- Distinguish substantive legal deficiencies from minor drafting differences
- Procedural Law Review
- Assess responses involving UK court procedure and litigation processes

Ideal Profile
- At least 2 years of law-firm or barristers' chambers experience, with 3+ years preferred
- Professional experience focused on litigation, disputes, or contentious practice
- Primarily law-firm or chambers experience is required
- Candidates currently working in-house may be suitable where they moved in-house within the last 2 years following relevant firm or chambers experience
- Qualified to practise in the United Kingdom
- Strong command of UK litigation and procedural law
- Ability to evaluate complex legal reasoning accurately and efficiently
- Native or fluent English
- Precise written communication and strong attention to legal detail
- Comfortable working independently against structured evaluation criteria
Engagement Details
- Part-time independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote
- Initial commitment of approximately 10 hours, with strong potential for additional work
- Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
- Compensation: $140–$150/hour
