A proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial performance, producing accurate financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role is pivotal in delivering insightful financial analysis, driving performance and supporting the strategic decision‑making process across the business. Overseeing a small team, this role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Ownership of Management Reporting: Prepare, review and deliver to Head of Finance the monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Including variance to budget/forecast, understanding and explaining movements.
- Management and development of Assistant Management Accountant: Assistant Management Accountant is studying ACCA so supporting the process and learning approach.
- Maintain and improve financial models to support scenario planning, cash flow forecasting, and strategic planning for the Amino business. Provide commercial insights and recommendations to executive leadership, helping drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Help maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance on financial decision-making. Develop relationships with key stakeholders, particularly Operations, where there are significant interdependencies.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management as needed.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (part-qualified candidates may also be considered).
- Experience: Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Team Management: Demonstrated success in leading and developing finance teams.
- Technical Skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and pivot tables). Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis.
