Class 2 HGV Driver – Southampton
£17.79 per hour | Monday to Friday
We're looking for Class 2 HGV Drivers, including newly qualified drivers, to join a well-established company in Southampton on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to build your driving career and secure a permanent position with a reputable employer.
Pay & Hours
- Pay: £17.79 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Start Time: 5:00am
- Average Shift Length: 10 hours
- Contract: Temp-to-Perm
The Role
As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries to retail stores.
- Delivering chilled and frozen goods.
- Unloading deliveries using cages and a powered pump truck.
- Safely manoeuvring heavy cages, with some manual handling involved.
- Delivering to a variety of locations, including some with restricted access.
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
To be considered, you'll need:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A Digital Tachograph Card.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Confidence with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment.
- A reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach.
