About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Sewing Machinist & Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team in Salisbury. This is a full-time, permanent position, working a four-day week, giving you every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
The successful candidate will be involved in the sewing and upholstery of high-quality chairs, ensuring each product is finished to an excellent standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce upholstery covers and components.
- Upholster chairs using a variety of fabrics, foams and materials.
- Assemble and fit upholstery to chair frames.
- Follow production specifications and work instructions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work efficiently to achieve production targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as an Upholsterer, Upholstery Sewing Machinist, or in a similar role.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good practical and manual skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
