24-7 Recruitment Services, acting as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers on behalf of our client for a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, a major retailer based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands (WV10).
Our customers require deliveries during the night; therefore, shifts are expected to start between 20:00 - 02:30. Manual handling will be required at all collections and delivery points. Shift lengths will be governed by needs, capacity and schedules, meaning that drivers will need to have some flexibility with shift starting and finishing times. Shift lengths do vary, but you are expected to comply with all Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
HGV Class 1 driver will require:
- Hold a valid Class 1 / C+E License
- No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
- Hold valid Tacho and CPC cards
- Driver will be required to drive class 2 vehicle when/if required (rates vary)
- Assessment will be done on the same day before the first shift
HGV Class 1 driver work will involve:
- Working for one of the fastest-growing businesses, our client offers new modern trucks and continuity of work
- Long-term ongoing position
- Immediate start available
- Temp-to-perm position for right candidate
Available shift patterns are:
- Start times between 20:00 - 02:30
- Monday to Friday
- 5 x drops per shift and cage collections
- 2 x days of training given, including tail-lift training
HGV Class 1 driver will receive:
- PAYE dynamic rates
- Class 1 Days (05:59-18:00) £16.50 per hour
- Nights (18:01 - 06:00) £17.50 per hour
- Class 2 Days (05:59-18:00) £15.50 per hour
- Nights (18:01 - 06:00) £16.50 per hour
