Our client, based in the Louth (LN11) area, is a leading European packaging company specialising in flexible and sustainable packaging solutions for some of the world's most respected brands. They are currently recruiting for a Slitting Operator to join their production and warehouse team.

The Role

As a Slitting Operator, you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of Universal Slitting Machines, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and running Universal Slitting Machines
  • Ensuring the slitter operates at optimum efficiency, following set procedures and quality standards
  • Removing reels as directed and packaging them in line with customer specifications
  • Maintaining full product traceability and compliance to auditable standards
  • Recording all inputs and outputs throughout the process
  • Ensuring all KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash are achieved on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Supporting grinding and pelletisation processes where required
  • Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting up to 25kg

Candidate Specification:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong work ethic with the drive and passion to succeed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised, motivated and able to work calmly and methodically
  • Keen to learn all aspects of the printing and slitting process
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts

Hours of Work:

12-hour shifts 2 days, 2 nights / 4 days off (Shift patterns may include nights depending on production requirements)

Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour
