24-7 Recruitment Services, acting as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Swindon, SN3. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, long-term work with a well-established and rapidly growing business in the South West.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for trunking goods to client stores throughout the UK. The role will involve:

  • Moving cages of clothing and rubbish
  • Securing loads using straps and bars
  • Manual handling
  • Using a tail lift
  • Delivering to stores throughout the UK

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid Class 1 / C+E licence
  • Have at least 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
  • Hold a valid Tacho Card and CPC
  • Have no more than 6 points on your licence
  • Have no DD, DR, TT or IN endorsements
  • Be available to work Friday to Monday - Start time between 15:00-18:00
  • Be comfortable with manual handling and securing loads

Assessment: Approximately 3 hours (unpaid)

Pay & Benefits

  • £17.74 per hour
  • £1.71 per hour shift premium for hours worked between 20:00–05:00
  • Overtime paid at 1.25x after 42.5 hours worked
  • PAYE Dynamic Rates
  • Long-term, ongoing position
  • Friday to Monday shifts only
  • Immediate starts available
  • Additional shifts may be available
