HGV Class 1 Driver

24-7 Recruitment Services, acting as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Swindon, SN3.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, long-term work with a well-established and rapidly growing business in the South West.
The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for trunking goods to client stores throughout the UK.
The role will involve:
- Moving cages of clothing and rubbish
- Securing loads using straps and bars
- Manual handling
- Using a tail lift
- Delivering to stores throughout the UK
HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid Class 1 / C+E licence
- Have at least 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Hold a valid Tacho Card and CPC
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence
- Have no DD, DR, TT or IN endorsements
- Be available to work Friday to Monday - Start time between 15:00-18:00
- Be comfortable with manual handling and securing loads
Assessment: Approximately 3 hours (unpaid)
Pay & Benefits
- £17.74 per hour
- £1.71 per hour shift premium for hours worked between 20:00–05:00
- Overtime after 42.5 hours worked
- PAYE Dynamic Rates
- Long-term, ongoing position
- Friday to Monday shifts only
- Immediate starts available
- Additional shifts may be available
