Class 1 Driver – Basingstoke Area
We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our client in the Basingstoke area on a temp to perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and flexible driver looking for long-term work with a well-established company.
Pay Rates
- Weekdays: £16.77 per hour
- Saturdays: £20.97 per hour
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a 2-week rotating pattern:
Week 1
- Monday to Saturday
- Start times between 00:30 and 03:30
Week 2
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 00:30 and 03:30
The Role
- Driving Class 1 articulated vehicles, with occasional Class 2 rigid vehicle work
- Completing store deliveries across the South, including parts of London
- Covering a variety of routes as required
- Most journeys are scheduled at approximately 8 hours
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- A flexible and professional approach to work
- Willingness to cover a variety of routes and vehicle @types
Assessment & Induction
Successful candidates will be required to complete:
- A driving assessment and site induction
- A buddy day alongside an experienced driver before working independently
