Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilledinterpretersin various languages to join our network.
The Role :
As a freelance interpreter, you will:

Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers
-
Interpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilities
-
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality
-
Work on an ad-hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availability
Requirements :

Fluency in Swahili and English
-
Previous interpreting/translation experience (preferred)

Valid/current Enhanced DBS check
-
Eligibility for self-employment in the UK

Two professional interpreting/translation references

Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills

Ability to travel to on-site assignments

Internet access and email for remote assignments

Commitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial service

Preferably qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines
