We work with a wide range of clients, including the local authorities, legal firms, medical related appointments and private businesses. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilled interpreters in various languages to join our network. The Role : As a freelance interpreter, you will: Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers
Interpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilities
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality
Work on an ad-hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availability
Requirements : Fluency in
Swahili and English
Previous interpreting/translation experience (preferred)
Valid/current
Enhanced DBS check
Eligibility for
self-employment
in the UK
Two professional interpreting/translation references
Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
Ability to travel to on-site assignments
Internet access and email for remote assignments
Commitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial service
Preferably qualified under
Legal Aid Agency guidelines
Qualifications Accepted: Community Interpreting Level 3
Community Interpreting Level 4
Community Interpreting Level 6
Diploma in Police Interpreting
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law, Health, Local Government)
Immigration Nationality Directorate Certificate
