We work with a wide range of clients, including local authorities, legal firms, medical-related appointments, and private businesses. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilled interpreters in various languages to join our network.
The Role: As a freelance interpreter, you will:
- Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers
- Interpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilities
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality
- Work on an ad-hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availability
Requirements:
- Fluency in Somali, Swahili, and English
- Previous interpreting/translation experience (preferred)
- Valid/current Enhanced DBS check
- Eligibility for self-employment in the UK
- Two professional interpreting/translation references
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
- Ability to travel to on-site assignments
- Internet access and email for remote assignments
- Commitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial service
- Preferably qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines

- Community Interpreting Level 3

- Diploma in Police Interpreting
