Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilledinterpretersin various languages to join our network.

The Role

As afreelance interpreter, you will:

• Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers
• Interpret in various settings, such as Courts, Law Firms, Social Services, NHS and other medical settings.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Work on an ad-hoc basis, accepting assignments that fit your schedule

Requirements

• Fluency inEnglishand at least one other language
• Previous interpreting/translations experienceis essential
• Must provide a valid/current EnhancedDBS check
  
• Must be eligible for self-employment in the UK
• Must have two professional interpreting/translations employment references.
• Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Ability to travel to assignments (for on-site roles) or work remotely for phone/video interpreting
• Have on-going access to internet and e-mail
• Be able to provide an accurate, confidential and impartial service
• Qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines
