Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilledinterpretersin various languages to join our network.
The Role
As afreelance interpreter, you will:
Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers
Interpret in various settings, such as Courts, Law Firms, Social Services and other medical settings.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Work on an ad-hoc basis, accepting assignments that fit your schedule
Requirements
Fluency inEnglishand at least one other language
Previous interpreting/translations experienceis essential
Must provide a valid/current EnhancedDBS check
Must be eligible for self-employment in the UK
Must have two professional interpreting/translations employment references.
Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
Ability to travel to assignments (for on-site roles) or work remotely for phone/video interpreting
Have on-going access to internet and e-mail
Be able to provide an accurate, confidential and impartial service
Qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines
