We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our care team in Portsmouth PO4. The successful candidate will support residents with high-quality person-centred care while supervising care staff and ensuring daily care standards are maintained.
Main Duties
- Provide personal care and emotional support to service users
- Administer and record medication
- Lead and support care staff during shifts
- Complete care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports
- Support residents with mobility, meals, hygiene, and activities
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns to management
- Liaise with families, GPs, nurses, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
- Assist with staff supervisions and training when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior care or care assistant role
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care preferred
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Medication administration experience
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and evenings
