About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our client’s busy warehouse and production operation in Uckfield. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous warehouse experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. You will support the day-to-day movement and preparation of stock, working closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Locating and moving specific items around the warehouse
- Preparing stock for production lines
- Working closely with production teams and running operatives
- Checking deliveries and collections for any damaged goods or stock
- Reporting any damages or discrepancies promptly
- Ensuring stock is stored and handled correctly
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Carrying out manual handling duties as required
- Supporting general warehouse operations as needed
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Minimum 1 year of previous warehouse experience
- Previous manual handling experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail and a safety-conscious approach
