Warehouse Operative (Chill & Freezer)
Location: DHL Nisa Stoke, Vernon Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2TP
Pay Rates: £12.71 – £25.86 per hour (inclusive of overtime rates & productivity bonus)
Training Rate: £12.71 per hour
Post-Training Rate: £13.77 per hour
Shift Pattern: Day Shifts | 35–40 hours per week | Two-week rotating schedule
Shift Pattern Details
Hours: 35–40 hours per week (2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks per shift)
Schedule: Two-week rotating pattern:
Shift 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday (08:00 – 17:00) | Week 2 Saturday (07:00 – 14:00)
Shift 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (08:00 – 17:00 / 07:00 – 14:00)
Additional shifts may be available depending on operational requirements.

Pay & Training Progression
Training Pay: £12.71 per hour
Post-Training Pay: £13.77 per hour
Bonus Potential: Productivity bonus available
Structured Training: 4-week onboarding programme including dedicated coaching, regular performance reviews, process checks, and structured support.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Picking: Order picking items within chilled and frozen temperature zones.
- Manual Handling: Lifting and handling products up to 25kg safely.
- MHE Operation: Operating Electric Pallet Trucks (EPT) and material handling equipment (full training provided).
- Productivity: Meeting site productivity and accuracy targets.
- Health & Safety: Following all warehouse safety rules and operational procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Comfortable working in chilled and frozen environments.
- EPT, PPT, or LLOP experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
- Reliable, punctual, team-focused, and eager to learn.
