22 Bishopsgate is Europe’s first vertical village, accommodating a community of up to 12,000 occupiers and visitors, with a working assumption that the building will normally operate with about 9,000 personnel at any one time. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Engineering Manager to help drive the next chapter of operational excellence within one of London’s most iconic and technologically advanced commercial assets. Working closely with the Head of 22 Bishopsgate, you will support the delivery of the engineering strategy and day-to-day operational delivery across this landmark building.

You will champion engineering performance, innovation, sustainability, and resilience whilst ensuring every system, service, and maintenance intervention contributes to an outstanding occupier experience. As Senior Engineering Manager, you will support the Head of Technical Services in the delivery of engineering and hard services operations across 22 Bishopsgate, ensuring the building continues to operate at the forefront of modern commercial real estate.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering the engineering operations and hard services strategy across the building.
• Driving best-in-class performance across critical building systems and infrastructure.
• Championing innovation through smart building technologies and data-led engineering solutions.
• Leading and managing engineering service partners, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Supporting capital replacement programmes and long-term asset lifecycle planning.
• Driving sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency programmes, and environmental performance improvements.
• Supporting business continuity planning and rapid response to critical engineering incidents.
• Building strong relationships with occupiers, stakeholders, and the wider JLL engineering community.

We are looking for a technically credible and commercially aware engineering leader with experience operating within complex, premium commercial environments. You will bring strong operational performance, excellent stakeholder engagement capability, and a passion for innovation, engineering performance, and customer experience.

Requirements include:

• Proven experience delivering engineering operations within a large-scale commercial or mixed-use environment.
• Strong technical understanding of modern building services infrastructure and smart building systems.
• Experience working alongside engineering service partners and driving performance against KPIs and SLAs.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, lifecycle planning, and contract oversight.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, engineering governance, and health and safety legislation.
• Relevant engineering qualifications, with chartership or progression towards chartership advantageous.
