The Academic Coordinator at 21K School plays a pivotal role in enabling high‑quality, future‑ready learning experiences in an online‑first environment. This role focuses on ensuring academic excellence while nurturing learner agency, facilitator empowerment, and continuous innovation. The Academic Coordinator works collaboratively across academic, technology, SEN, and student success teams to deliver personalised, engaging, and outcomes‑driven education aligned with 21K School’s vision.
Academic Delivery & Online Learning Experience
- Ensure high‑quality delivery of curriculum across learning pathways through effective online pedagogy and facilitation practices.
- Monitor live and asynchronous classes to ensure active learner engagement, inclusivity, and meaningful participation.
- Support facilitators in designing learning experiences that promote inquiry, collaboration, and higher‑order thinking skills.
- Ensure alignment of lesson planning, assessments, and learning activities with 21K School’s learner attributes and skills framework.
Curriculum Execution, Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum frameworks across boards while allowing flexibility for differentiated learning needs.
- Oversee assessment practices to ensure they are authentic, skill‑based, transparent, and aligned with online learning models.
- Ensure timely and accurate conduct of assessments, evaluations, and academic reporting.
- Work closely with curriculum and assessment teams to standardise formats, rubrics, and academic documentation.
Facilitator Coaching, Performance & Professional Growth
- Conduct regular online classroom observations and learning walkthroughs using a coaching and reflective lens.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to facilitators to support continuous professional growth.
- Partner with academic leaders to identify training needs and enable targeted professional development.
- Support facilitators in strengthening digital instructional practices and learner engagement strategies.
- Monitor learner participation, attendance, and engagement trends across grades.
- Collaborate with Student Success and SEN teams to support diverse learner needs and inclusive practices.
- Identify learners requiring additional academic or emotional support and enable timely interventions.
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive online learning culture.
Parent Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents through proactive communication and regular academic touchpoints.
- Plan and facilitate virtual Parent‑Facilitator Meetings and academic workshops.
- Address parent concerns with empathy, clarity, and solution‑oriented communication.
- Partner with parents as co‑educators in the learner’s academic journey.
Academic Data, MIS & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyse academic performance, engagement metrics, and facilitator effectiveness indicators.
- Maintain accurate academic MIS and dashboards for reviews and strategic planning.
- Use insights from data to recommend academic improvements and targeted interventions.
- Support leadership with reports, reviews, and readiness for academic audits or inspections.
Institutional Support, Events & On‑ground Engagement
- Be available to support offline, on‑ground responsibilities during school events, academic showcases, parent meets, training programs, and promotional activities as required, including readiness to travel as per institutional needs.
- Represent 21K School professionally during internal and external events, admissions interactions, and outreach initiatives.
- Demonstrate flexibility, availability, and willingness to travel at short notice when required, stepping in wherever academic support is needed to ensure smooth institutional functioning.
- Uphold the school’s culture, values, and learner‑first approach across both online and offline engagements.
Experience
- 4–5 years of teaching experience, preferably with exposure to online or blended learning environments.
- 2–3 years in an academic leadership, coordination, or mentoring role.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education or Subject Specialisation (M.Ed. preferred).
- B.Ed. (mandatory for Indian School).
- International Teaching or Leadership Qualification (preferred for British School): PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education - UK) / PGCEi (Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International)), International Baccalaureate (IB) Certification, CIDTL (Cambridge International Certificate/Diploma in Teaching & Learning), or equivalent globally recognised teaching or academic leadership qualification.
