We are currently recruiting two experienced Locum Children & Families Social Workers to join supportive and well-established teams in Duns and Hawick. These are excellent opportunities for practitioners seeking stability, manageable caseloads, and a positive multi-agency working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of need and risk
- Develop and review outcome-focused care and protection plans
- Carry out child protection work, including Section 47 enquiries and core groups
- Work directly with children, young people, and families
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records
- Participate in team meetings, multi-agency discussions, and supervision
Requirements
- Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
- SSSC registration
- Experience within Children & Families statutory services
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage your caseload effectively
- Enhanced PVG (or willingness to undertake one)
