We are seeking a Senior Residential Practitioner to help lead and support a dedicated team delivering high-quality care to young people with complex needs within a secure care environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity to combine direct work with young people alongside leadership responsibilities, providing guidance, coaching and supervision to colleagues while helping create a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment.
About the Role Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
Lead, mentor and support residential care staff in day-to-day practice.
Contribute to care planning, risk management and outcome-focused support.
Promote a consistent, reflective and relationship-based approach to care.
Work collaboratively with families and professional partners to achieve positive outcomes.
About You Experience working with children and young people in residential childcare, secure care or a similar setting.
Previous experience supporting and developing staff through supervision and coaching.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, attachment and child development.
Confident decision-maker with excellent communication and leadership skills.
SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 9, or an equivalent qualification that meets SSSC requirements for Supervisor in Residential Childcare Services.
