About the Role: 21 Health & Social Care are recruiting experienced and dedicated Social Workers for a range of locum opportunities across Scotland. We are currently recruiting for positions within:
- Adult Services
- Children and Families Services
- Adult Learning Disabilities Teams
- Mental Health Services
- Hospital Discharge and Community Teams
- Child Protection and Safeguarding Teams
- Throughcare and Aftercare Services
- Justice Social Work Services
These opportunities are available with local authorities and health and social care partnerships throughout Scotland.
To be considered for these roles, you must be a qualified Social Worker registered in Scotland with a minimum of 1 years' post-qualification experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering statutory social work services in accordance with Scottish legislation and guidance.
- Undertaking assessments, support planning, and reviews.
- Managing complex caseloads and delivering person-centred interventions.
- Completing safeguarding and protection work, including Adult Support and Protection and Child Protection responsibilities.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Supporting individuals, children, families, and carers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Preparing reports and attending case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where required.
- Promoting strengths-based practice and ensuring compliance with local authority policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Recognised social work qualification, such as a BA/BSc (Hons) in Social Work, a postgraduate qualification in Social Work (e.g. an MSc or PgDip in Social Work), or the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- PVG Disclosure (or willingness to obtain one).
- Minimum of 1 years post-qualification social work experience.
- Experience within Adults, Children and Families, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, or related statutory services.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Scottish legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
