21 Health and Social Care (21HSC) are a leading health and social care recruitment agency currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Children & Families Social Worker to join a Practice Team on a locum basis within a progressive Scottish local authority setting.
This is a dual-purpose role within the Duty and Child Protection team, combining screening and case management responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screening of incoming referrals to assess risk and determine appropriate next steps.
- Undertake case management responsibilities, including coordinating services and supporting children and families.
- Respond promptly to urgent concerns and make informed safeguarding decisions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification recognised in Scotland).
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Scottish Social Services Council.
- Proven experience in Children & Families statutory work.
- Strong knowledge of Scottish child care legislation and practice frameworks.
- Experience with child protection.
- Ability to manage risk and complexity with confidence and professionalism.
Competitive locum rate. Manageable caseload reflective of longer-term caseholding. Flexible working arrangements where possible.
