Location: Fife, Perth & Dundee

Salary: £15p/h - £23p/h (PAYE)

Contract: Flexible / Bank

About the Role: 21 Health and Social Care is actively recruiting experienced and compassionate Residential Childcare Workers on an ad hoc / bank basis to support a variety of clients across Residential Childcare. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working arrangements while making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Our clients include a wide range of residential childcare providers supporting young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in residential settings
  • Support with day-to-day routines including personal care, education, activities, and emotional support
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment
  • Work collaboratively with permanent staff and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans and organisational policies
  • Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and healthy relationships

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in a residential childcare or similar care setting is essential
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches
  • Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly
  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) & HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable
  • SSSC registration (or willingness to register) required
  • PVG Scheme membership required (or willingness to join)
